Refund and Warranty Policy

AyanisTek Refund and Warranty Policy

At AyanisTek, we are committed to providing professional and high-quality electronic repair services, as well as selling quality products. This policy outlines our terms regarding repair service warranties, refund eligibility for services and products, customer responsibilities, and abandoned equipment. These terms comply with applicable laws in the State of California.
1. Repair Service Warranty
All repairs performed by AyanisTek include a 90-day limited warranty on both parts and labor, starting from the date the repaired item is picked up or delivered. This warranty applies only to the original customer and is non-transferable.
1.1. What Is Covered:
• Only the original issue(s) explicitly identified and repaired.
• Replacement parts and workmanship directly related to the specific repair order.
1.2. What Is Not Covered:
• New or unrelated problems that arise after the repair.
• Damage due to misuse, neglect, abuse, accidents (e.g., drops, liquid spills), power surges, or unauthorized modifications.
• Problems from pre-existing conditions not disclosed during the repair intake or not included in the repair agreement.
• Software issues, viruses, or data loss not directly caused by our repair.
• Natural wear and tear of consumables (e.g., batteries, unless replaced during service and explicitly covered by the repair order).
• Damage resulting from any attempt to repair the device by any party other than AyanisTek after our service.
• Issues arising from improper software installation, configuration, or usage not performed by AyanisTek.
1.3. Manufacturer Warranties and Out-of-Warranty Repairs:
• When AyanisTek performs repairs on products covered by an active manufacturer's warranty, AyanisTek will strive to provide the highest quality repair possible, adhering to the standards set by the particular manufacturer.
• Out-of-warranty repairs shall receive the same level of attention and detail.
• After AyanisTek's repairs of in-warranty products, the repaired products shall continue to be covered under the manufacturer's warranty per the terms & conditions provided by the manufacturer.
• You understand and accept that any repair work attempted by AyanisTek, particularly for in-warranty devices, may void the balance of any manufacturer warranty on your device, and AyanisTek is not liable for such voidance.
• All out-of-warranty repairs are covered solely by AyanisTek's 90-day parts & labor warranty clause, as specified in this Section 1, 'Repair Service Warranty'.
1.4. Used/Refurbished Parts Disclosure (Out-of-Warranty Repairs Only):
• For out-of-warranty repairs only, AyanisTek may use new, refurbished, or reconditioned parts, at its sole discretion.
1.5. Ownership of Replaced Parts:
• For any in-warranty repairs, parts removed from the repairable unit during repair cannot be returned to the customer. These removed parts belong to the manufacturer and will be disposed of per the terms & conditions provided by the manufacturer.
• For out-of-warranty repairs, any parts removed during a repair that are replaced by AyanisTek (e.g., defective or damaged components) become the property of AyanisTek upon replacement, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Refund Eligibility for Repair Services and Products
Refunds are not guaranteed but may be granted under the following circumstances:
2.1. Unsuccessful Repairs (Under Warranty): If the original problem reoccurs within 90 days and:
• AyanisTek is unable to resolve the issue despite reasonable efforts, and
• The customer declines further repair attempts, a partial or full refund for the repair service fee may be considered.
2.2. Incomplete or Undeliverable Repairs: If AyanisTek determines that:
• The equipment is beyond economical repair (BER),
• Parts are unavailable, or
• Technical limitations prevent repair, a partial or full refund for the repair service fee may be issued, excluding non-refundable fees (see Section 3). In such BER cases, AyanisTek will notify the customer, and the customer will have the option to: (a) have the non-repaired device returned; (b) dispose of the device (disposal fees may apply); or (c) in some cases, receive a credit towards a new product purchase from AyanisTek.
2.3. Product Returns & Refunds: For products purchased directly from AyanisTek, refunds or exchanges may be considered under the following conditions:
• Products must be returned within [X] days of purchase. (e.g., 15/30 days)
• Products must be in their original, unopened packaging and in new, resalable condition.
• A valid proof of purchase (receipt or invoice) is required.
• Opened products may be subject to a restocking fee of 20% or may not be eligible for a refund.
• Defective products will be evaluated under the terms of their manufacturer's warranty.
3. Non-Refundable Fees The following charges are non-refundable:
• Diagnostic Bench Fee: A non-refundable $150.00 diagnostic fee applies to all devices submitted for evaluation. This fee covers time, testing, and expertise. If the customer proceeds with the repair, this fee will be credited toward the final repair cost.
• Shipping Costs: All inbound and outbound shipping fees (including for warranty re-evaluations or product returns) are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing by AyanisTek.
• Data Backup Service Fee: If a separate data backup service is requested and completed prior to repair, this fee is non-refundable.
Disclosure Requirement: Customers are informed of these fees in writing prior to service intake, in compliance with California BPC § 9844.
4. Refund Process
4.1. How to Request a Refund (Services or Products):
• Contact AyanisTek at service@ayanistek.com or call 442-227-5990.
• Provide your repair order number or product invoice number, contact info, and a clear description of the issue or reason for the refund request.
4.2. Evaluation Process:
• For repair services, we may request that the equipment be returned for re-evaluation (customer responsible for shipping costs for warranty claims unless AyanisTek determines the claim is valid, in which case AyanisTek may cover return shipping).
• For product returns, AyanisTek will inspect the product upon receipt.
• Refund requests will be reviewed within 7 business days.
4.3. Approved Refunds:
• Issued via the original method of payment within 7–10 business days of approval.
5. Abandoned Equipment Policy Pickup Deadline: Repaired or unrepaired items must be:
• Picked up or paid for within 30 days of our initial notification that the item is ready.
Storage Charges: After 30 days, a $2 per day storage fee will apply.
Forfeiture & Disposal: If equipment is not picked up within 90 days, it will be deemed abandoned under California Civil Code § 2080.10, and may be:
• Recycled,
• Sold to recoup service/storage costs, or
• Otherwise disposed of.
Customers may contact AyanisTek to arrange extended storage in advance. Special arrangements must be confirmed in writing.
6. Customer Responsibility for Data Backup Customer assumes all responsibility for data on their devices. AyanisTek is not liable for any data loss or corruption. Customers should:
• Back up all data prior to submitting devices for repair.
• Understand that repair procedures can involve risk to data, and that AyanisTek is not liable for any data loss, data corruption, or damage to data during repairs, whether in-warranty or out-of-warranty, as stated in our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
• While AyanisTek takes precautions, we cannot guarantee preservation of files, applications, or configurations unless a separate data backup service is requested and completed prior to repair.
7. Force Majeure (Service Operations) AyanisTek shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under this policy if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemics, labor disputes, natural disasters, or disruptions in supply chains. In such events, AyanisTek will make reasonable efforts to notify customers of delays and estimated timelines.
8. Dispute Resolution Any disputes arising from this Refund and Warranty Policy shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions outlined in the AyanisTek Terms & Conditions, which include binding arbitration and a class action waiver.
